How did your qualification help you in your career? It's not just about a degree but also what I have learned is helpful for both my work and life.

Would you recommend the University as a good place to study? Sure, very good place to stay in

What did you most enjoy about your time at Leeds Met? The school life, the social activities and spending time with all the friends that I met in Leeds.  Overall, the life in Leeds is the best memory in my life.

Summarise your career since leaving. I'm working in a New Zealand investment company. I started as a junior accountant and progressed to be a senior accountant within the same company thanks to the experiences in Leeds Met both in knowledge and personality.

What is your greatest achievement to date? To become a qualified accountant and to get married (to someone I met in Leeds)

How did your qualification help you in your career? To be qualified and self confident

Would you recommend the University as a good place to study? Yes, surely.

What did you most enjoy about your time at Leeds Met? Meeting my wife.

Summarise your career since leaving. I have been working in study abroad since leaving Leeds Met.

What is your greatest achievement to date? I found a good job and I am working very closely with UK universities.

How did your qualification help you in your career? My experience helped me a lot for my job.  I can share my good experience with other students who want to study in the UK

What did you most enjoy about your time at Leeds Met? Meeting lots of friends, improving my interpersonal skills, the green campus, kind tutors and staff.

Summarise your career since leaving. My job is not really related to my degree but my UK study experience helped me a lot, for examples English, outlook, etc.

What is your greatest achievement to date? I met Ranger who was my classmate and is now my boyfriend.  I also made lots of friends in the UK.

How did your qualification help you in your career? It helps me in terms of English, experience, interpersonal skills, fashion sense

What did you most enjoy about your time at Leeds Met? Studying in the library and training in the campus

Summarise your career since leaving. I founded the Richlink group and became one of the famous funds management companies in China.  I am also a professor in Tsinghua, Fudan University on a part-time basis.

What is your greatest achievement to date? I am one of the masters in PE and capital operation in China, I am proud that I am a useful person to my country.

How did your qualification help you in your career? Studying in Leeds Met is the most important time in my life, it changed my lifestyle and career.

Chao Feng

What did you most enjoy about your time at Leeds Met? Culture difference inspires creativity

Summarise your career since leaving. After my graduation, some film companies invited me to join them and I have tried some companies specialising in film distribution (for the movies Mr & Mrs Smith, Star Wars III), TV production and film production.  I also set up a media company Joyous Media.  In 2009 I started to work for Landtower Entertainment as managing director, I helped this company obtaining awards and reputation.

What is your greatest achievement to date? Understanding and being familiar with the whole film production and distribution industry in China from film creativity to management.  Also starting to build film connections internationally.

How did your qualification help you in your career? It increases employers interest in me, as well as producing career opportunities for me (approaches from headhunters).

What did you most enjoy about your time at Leeds Met? Completing my dissertation with patient and inspiring guidance from my lecturer.  Making long lasting true friendships.  Learning about cultures and traditions in the UK.

Summarise your career since leaving. I started my career as a marketing executive and worked in the manufacturing field including spectacles, spectacle cases and gift box areas.  After 10 years, I changed jobs to become a secretary to directors in an investment company.

What is your greatest achievement to date? Working in a business field that I like and achieve a balance between work and family.

How did your qualification help you in your career? Having a degree allowed me to have more choices in selecting a job as it is a basic requirement for many posts.

Would you recommend the University as a good place to study? I would highly recommend Leeds Metropolitan University as a good place to study.

After graduating I help the post of Audit Trainee in Mazars CPA Limited for almost 1 year and since then I've been in my current post of Finance Assistant in the Hospital Authority.

What is your greatest achievement to date?

I obtained work experience in finance and achieved a professional accounting qualification.

My qualification met the job requirement and prepared me well for the job.
